Our health coaches serve a crucial role in our members’ weight-loss journeys. Profile coaches come from a variety of health and wellness backgrounds, such as nutrition and exercise science. They must also receive and maintain Profile health coach certification. The knowledge and skills our coaches gain in certification allow them to provide world-class health coaching that has helped over 195K+ Profile members lose 3+ million pounds.

About Profile Health Coach Certification

Before a new Profile coach can safely and effectively help our members on their weight-loss journeys, they must have 80+ hours of health coach certification. To stay certified, 15+ hours of ongoing education is required every year. Below are some topics studied in certification.

This area is probably the most crucial for Profile members because it will result in sustained weight loss. Coaches are trained on teaching members nutrition skills using a read-do-reflect format that will help them remember. Skills that are taught include food preparation, grocery shopping, label reading, cooking skills, and how to set goals.

Our health coach certification does a deep dive on eating behaviors and the science behind them because this is another crucial area for long-term weight-loss success. Coaches study things like mindful eating, improving body image, and the connection between emotions and food.

CREATE ATTAINABLE GOALS

Setting the right health and weight loss goals can be very challenging. If a goal is too easy to achieve, we are selling ourselves short. On the other hand, if a goal is too ambitious, it can feel overwhelming and at the first signs of resistance, it’s tempting to throw in the towel. Our Profile Coaches are experts at helping our members set incremental SMART goals that can be achieved while still working towards the member’s most ambitious health objectives.

Special Certifications

There are some Profile protocols that require additional certification to ensure coaches are able to safely and effectively support members with these specific needs.

MOM Certification

The journey to motherhood is a time when the body needs balanced nutrition and extra vitamins. To safely assist expecting moms, a certified MOM coach does an in-depth study on nutrition and activity for expecting and current moms. They also learn about nutrition that supports breastfeeding and safe weight loss for new moms.

Our Perform protocol is all about supporting an active lifestyle and improving athletic performance. To properly coach members following a Perform protocol, coaches are trained in additional nutritional and exercise topics, such as nutrition to support the body pre- and post-workout.
